This book is a great book to read if your intrested in ficition. If your a fan of the lord 0f the rings you should read this book it's got Gandalf the gray, Bilbo baggins, and more!! Gandalf a wizard wants to send Bilbo baggins a hobbit on a quest to retrive a ring protected by a hobbit named gollum, not many peole who will read this will know him at first, but you ever heard  of " my precious!! my precious!! don't touch my precious!!" that's gollum I like this book because it really cool book and I think it should be read before someone reads lord of the rings, because you need to rwad this to fully under stand the story and what a hobbit is.
so far i would give this book a 5 star rating

         From the mixed up files of mrs.Basil E. Frank Weiler is about twokids running away from home and try to live in a museum and try to live by themselves.

The main characters are brother and sister and their names are Claudia the girl and her brother Jamie. They both wanted to leave home and they are both brave and have the same characteristics.The problem they face is not getting captured by the guards and get in big trouble. They make sure to taking care of each other.This all takes place in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

I did not like this book because it didn’t really have the fiction I was looking for. It was boring because it’s about these kids who run away from home. I thought the book would be more fun. But the book is more about them trying to find artist and learn about them. If you are the kind of person that likes a fiction mystery you should read it. You might like this book. But the book has unrealistic things in the the story that will make you chuckle like how the guard never finds them. In the beginning they want to find out the artist who made a water fountain and look at art and try to find out who made it.

If you read it and think its going to be a cool mystery book. Prepare to be disappointed because it has more fiction than anything else.

I think the characters are like the Boxcar kids because they run away from home too and that they want to find out about things too I also think that they hide too.I think the theme of the book is about how kids realize that the stuff think is paradise they already had like Boxcar kids.

Another reason you should not read it is because the book does not get to the point when I first started reading it I thought it would be about kids running away from guards but when I started reading it i got bored quickly. I kept on reading thinking the book would get better . Well never happen. The lesson that they learned was that we at they thought was paradise they already had it from the start of this book.

Why I did not like the book because it was not the fantasy I was looking for it was the things I expected the book to be a cool mystery that’s about the museum itself but that’s not what I read. They just wanted to find out the artist that made the art that does not have the a name on the art. Making it not so unreal like how guards walk right past them they just want to find out who made the art that does not have there name on it. And that all adds up to why I did not like the book.

I finished a book called Matilda and its about a girl who doesn’t like her principal. Because the principal doesn’t like kids and she doesn’t like pigtails so she takes a kid by the hair and throws it.


I like this book because a girl named Matilda has magic and she uses it to scare the principal so she doesn’t terrorize kids. Matilda has a teacher who is really nice to matilda. Her parents don’t really care for Matilda because shes a girl. When she was 1 year old she started to read magazines and at 2 year old she started to speak full sentence and she talks to her parents you think they are going to be proud and happy nope they just say shes a chatter box. You should read it because it has fiction and its really funny and it leaves you wanting more. The lesson that she learns is that she could use magic when she’s angry.

The theme of the book is how Matilda wants to get get payback on her principal for how mean she was to everyone. The characters plot is to scare the principal so she goes away from all the kids so she doesn’t terrorize kids no more.This book is like harry potter because his parents don’t really like him either.

     I went to summer camp last year and i had a BLAST!  My summer camp went to most of the amusement parks. My summer camp went on a lot of trips, and we wrote in our journals. I wonder what my summer camp will do this summer. The first trip was to Great Adventure. It was the best.The first ride I got on I thought i was gonna be sick. I road on the ride with my friend Aaliyah from summer camp. And had so much fun time.


     When i got off the ride i felt relieved. The second ride was the Batman ride and it was really cool. I got on so many rides my stomach started to hurt.The group from the camp and I were having a good . My camp also went to the roller skating rink. I was really happy that we went. I was so happy when i found out we were going skating i couldn't wait to tell my mother. Some of the kids in my camp didn't know how to skate, so i taught them how to skate

     The kids in my summer camp were so happy that I was there to teach them how to skate. The kids slipped and I  slipped too. We had to hold on to the at railing first. my summer camp had so much fun that day. I did not know that  my camp had  been  changed. I found out that the camp does not  write in their journals anymore.[sad]. My camps name is Wyckoff  gardens. My camp also have took walks to the park ate ices, had parties and much much more. I'm so happy that my camp went to really fun places. my camp is really a true camp. The camp isn't only a camp, its a fun camp! My summer camp is a really fun place for kids my age to pay in. My summer camp rock.


     I  first came to this summer camp when my old summer camp have gotten really boring. my summer camp that I went to last year is the worst. I don't like that camp is because we never get to have  fun and play with our friends while we are playing in the class room. we always write in our journals and don't platy. We only go swimming and never get to go to the amusement parks like the new camp. Thanks to my mom now I am going to stay in this new summer camp I cant wait to go again. Thanks mom. My favorite thing about my  summer camp is that we have fun and make new find everyday if we need to.


    My summer camp is awesome and i LOVE it so so so so so so so so much. I am so happy that I am going to stay in this camp. When I get older I am going to let my children in that camp if  it is still there. I wish  the same cam brother was my age so we can  both go to the same camp. If my brother was in that camp I would be really really really happy because I would see his facial expression. I REALLY LOVE IT!!!! My mother picked a good camp for me. I am glad that my is in MY life.  I love her.



   
   My camp is cool and really fun. My camp goes mostly everywhere a child would want be at this very moment so go to my summer camp, because you'll love it!

The first book I recommend is spiderwick by Holly Black.this book is a fun fantasy. it is a adventuress book that takes place in a old creepy house that his haunted by many types of fairies. all these adventures take place in one house. shockingly they find some very cool items and things that change there opinions upon the house,plus yours. this book is 3 siblings, simon the twin brother of the main character,jared,and the biggest sibling melony. simon is a heart warming animal lover that no matter what, he remains forgiving. melony on the other hand is a fencing queen, and isint really good at making friends, she could be very cold. last but not least, jared the main character,is deppressed since his father left. nobody really trusts him because he gets into some fights in his last school.

                                                 melony learns that no matter how ridiculous things might seem, to believe what your family says! i personally love this book because you never know whats going to happen next. i think you will like this book because there  some secrets that will make your mine pop! in the book jared finds a riddle that keeps him searching in the confusing house." in a mans torso you will find my secret to all mankind. if false and true can be the same you will soon know of my fame up and up and up again good luck dear friend" whats that supposed to mean?

                                                                                            this book reminds me of  bridge to tarbithia, because of all these clues and then you have all the cool creatures. i hope you read this fun and shocking series of books.

You should read this book because it is an adventure about a young man named Gaylen who's looking for the most delicious food that every one agrees on.  So they can put a meaning for "Delicious" in a dictionary written by the Prime Minister. But while on his quest if  he says the slightest wrong thing there will be a war in the kingdom. However, there's a man named Hemlock who wants a war so he can become king so he tries to make every one hate Gaylen so he can't complete his quest and a war will start because no one will agree.

    It's also a good book because every one likes food and fantasy and there are different creatures that he will meet and goes through different obstacles.  And the ending will surprise you.

Once again Rick riodan has shown his master writing that all of his fans love. "The mark of Athena" is a great book. In his book son of Neptune Percy jackson, Hazel, and Frank meet in camp Jupitur ( a Roman camp for half bloods with are half human half god ) and in the book  "the lost Hero" Jason forgets evrything in his life. His friends Leo,and Piper try to restore his memory. They meet Annabeth chase ( Percy Jackson's girlfriend ) who is trying to find her boyfriend, Annabeth thinks that Jason knows were he is. Jason tells Annabeth that he has no idea who Percy Jackson is and he barely knows who he is. Annabeth takes them to camp Half blood ( witch is like a greek camp jupiter ) and they here a prophecy. The prophecy says " seven half-bloods shall answer the call, To storm or fire the world must fall . An oath to keep with a final breath, And foes bear arms to the doors of deth"

 

In the book " Mark of Athena " the greek and roman demi gods (half bloods) need to work together to defeat the giants sent by the earth  mother, Gaea. then they will need to sail to the achient land to find the doors of deth. This is a good book and I recomend it because it teaches you about mithology and what I find cool is that the romans and the greek don't really like each other but they put aside there hatered and help ach other to a common enemy even thogh only seven half bloods are mentioned in the story so when you think about it the book is about trust and friendship. that is why I think you should read THE MARK OF ATHENA





Jared /Golden Swagg 47 's Book Reccomendation

   The first book I recommend is Ghostopolis because if you are really in to comic books or graphic novels then you should read this book because you can actually make a mind movie with this book and it will be easy because it is a graphic novel and the pictures are all ready laid out in an order for you. So if you have problems picturing the setting(s),  main character(s), problem and  solution of the stories you read then this is a good book for you. The main problem is when the  ghost hunter Frank is trying to go after one of the bone kingdom's horse and the horse jumps on top of Garth the main character that is around 10 - 15 years old with an incurable disease. Frank press the button to send the  horse back to Ghostopolis where it came from  but he did not have any  visual contact of it.  The horse did not go alone, but with Garth. There are more parts of the story but I do not want to spoil all of the surprises in the story. 

The Hunger Games

The first book I am recommending is The Hunger Games  by Suzanne Collins.This two weeks ago I finsh the Hunger Games I just can't wait for the second book!I was really surpriesed about the book because the cover just had a bird in the front with a arrow and it looked boring to me.This book is like mostly Realistic Fiction. I enjoy this book because it seems so real to me I felt I was in the book and it's like a journal it felt amzing reading the book.Who ever reads the book is going to feel like me feeling inside the book it's like heavenwhen you read it.The main characters is peeta he is a guy and the other main character is katniss she is a girl and they are in district 12 to battle other district.The problem is that            they have to leave there family far alway and they have to make sure they don;t killed them or they will never see them again.A lesson they learn is you will always see them in your heart and never give up on your self.AND-girls you will surprised how this girl is in this book.This book is different from another book because this book make you feel alive and feels your in the book but like other books they get you bord fromm reading it but this book not.The infortmation I want you to now is that you will never give up reading this book because this is like heavenso find this book and start reading!

The first book I am recommending is middle school is worse than meatloaf by jennifer l. holm. the genre of my book is realistic fiction. the reason that i enjoyed this book is because it tells you how to deal with problems and how to plan things.i think that  people will enjoy this book because its more like a diary  and it tells you how to do things. my main character is ginny and her trait is to become friends with mary catherine kelly. some problems that ginny face is giving up ballet dancing just because what some girl says about her. one of the theme of the book is just to be you and do not give anything up just because some one says you are not good at it. the difference between other books and this one is that this one is like a diary and this book has a lot of pictures and more gossip. this book is more for girls

  The first book i am recommending is called The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.Not so long ago i finished the 1st book of an AMAZING series and i was really surprised that the book was that good because the cover is kind of plain so i thought it was going to be a plain boring book but it was not like that it was action packed,fast paced,and it makes you want to read more.I was amazed from how much the author put so much detail and emotion,sometimes I felt like I was part of the book.

The main characters are all different because the main,main character named katniss is a hunter and likes to hunt with a bow and arrow,her personality is very uniqe because whenever someone forces her to do something she will fight back and sometimes get physical.Rue,whitch is a little kid that is a stealthey,quiet person that would help anyone that needs it is a fast,funny,smart,has stategy,has surival skills,and other good skills that are good for hunting.Peeta is a really quiet kid that was on katniss' team when the hunger games are going on,he also is katniss' boyfreind.Gale is one of katniss' best freinds from district 15 (katniss is from district 15)and i think that Gale likes katniss and katniss likes him.By the way katniss barely likes peeta.

i would recommend this book to any one that like action and adventure,fast paced,cool,talkitive books,i would tell you to read it.That is my book recommendation and i hope you read the book that i recommended.THANK YOU :)

I think u will luv this book. It is about a 10 year old who is 

deformed on his face and he gets made fun of because of it. 

He has never been to school because he was home schooled all his life until 5th grade...


There is one part where it's halloween and the deformed kid August says he will come in as Bobba Fett but instead he comes in as the Scream so nobody knows it's him and he overheard one of the kids whom he thought was his friend making fun of him because the friend did not know it was him...

This book i am recommending is The babysitters club by Raina Telgemeier

The book that I'm recommending is The babysitters club by Raina Delmor. Last week I read the most amazing series people someone would read. I am so happy I can not wait to read the others. The book is about this young girl who moved to a small town in  Connecticut and is trying to find a job as a babysitter. The young girls name is Stacey. By looking at the cover the book seemed really
interesting an I was right because my  to character seemed to been walking away from her friends. It kind of reminds it of me because I  have walked away from my friends many times, and I felt really sad. Stacey looks sad on the cover because her friends are being mean or rude to her.

Stacey seems to be having a hard time with her days in a new country. Stacey really is a sensitive person because ever time she has to go to the doctor she gets angry and yells at her father and mother.  The reason why Stacey is always yelling and getting angry with her parents is because she has diabetes and she  has to take her insolent so she doesn't  get sick. Stacey does not like when people bother her because she gets angry just as much of going to the doctor. Stacey is not a violence person,she just doesn't being bothered. The gender of my book is a graphic novel.

I think other would enjoy this book because girls could learn how to go through thinks like having diabetes and being a nanny. ''I CANT WAIT FOR THIS CLUB TO START.'' Stacey said that because she has made club called ''THE BABYSITTERS CLUB.'' Stacey has also had a fun time with the kids she baby sits. You reads should have a an awesome time reading this book  because i have an awesome time. I would read this book again  but i want to read the other series, so I can have fun and make my reading a fun thing i have ever wanted. Book Recomendation

Ghostopolis is the book will be talking about today, this book is by Doug Tennapel. I finish reading this book about two weeks ago, as soon as I finished the last page I thought what a great book. In my reading log under in the "My Rating" section I wrote AWESOME!{and I don't think many books are awesome}that's how good this book is.

The main character is the book is named Garth,who is a brave but also a timid guy.He has wondered about his grandfather{who he is not aloud to speak of}since he was a little boy. Then one day magic happens, garth accidentallygot sent to the after life which is called ghostopolis. As garth is in the afer life he mets a boy who saves his life and finds out the boy is his grandfather. As garth gets to know his grandfather better he finds out there are dangerous problems in ghostopolis and trys to help.........Hope you read

Hikaru No Go (Book 1) I Recomend this book beacause it contains everything a Anime lover would like. It contains  action suspense and jokes. I Love the book mostly beacause of the storyline. Hikaru was just an average kid wanting to have fun until a ghost awakens in his councince. The ghost just happened to be the ghost of a very talented Go Player.[Go =a japanese board game] This book is so far one of the best Mangas ive ever read. I Recommend this book alot!

                  The first book i am recommending is The Amulet by Kazu Kabuishi. I finished the book a few days ago and now I'm on part two. I'm surprised how much i wanted to read the others because from the cover, it looked like this book was just boring and not exciting, but it was far from that. The main characters grew very interesting, as i started to feel feelings for them in the type of predicament that they were in. The story focuses on a daughter son and mother as they go through a rough time, loosing a father and a loving husband. Emily~ is a natural born leader who hasn't been the same witnessing her fathers death. Navin~ is her younger brother that loves video games and robots. There is a little surprise for him at the end of the book. Finally, Karen~ the loving mom who just wants the best for her children. she was worried about how her husbands death has affected them she wants to start a fresh new life in a quiet town in Norlen. As they try to start a new life in a nice old quiet appearing house everything becomes the opposite. 

            It is kind of a realistic and fiction so if you like realistic books this is your kind of book. The Amulet is kind of a suspense book. your reading and reading and POW. It hits you with something you were not expecting. This is a fun adventure book. they meet new friends and go on new quests. Both male and female will find this book interesting. Even though the main character is a girl, there is another main character navin. Hope you enjoy this book and continue on to the series as i'm trying to do.

    I enjoyed this book, because it has mythology. In basic chapter books, it is not all interesting, but when it comes to mythology, I can concentrate harder. Others may enjoy this book, because it is filled with action, adventure, terror, and mythological creatures. I know I would. This story is about Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, and Grover. They all have different personalities. Percy is a fighting warrior. He is brave, courageous, adventurous, and mischievous. Annabeth is smart, resourceful, and hard-working. Grover can be scared and sweet, but also brave like Percy. Here is why.
    In this story, Percy had a vision in his sleep about Polyphemus (a blind, nasty cyclops), and Grover in a wedding dress. The reason Grover was in a wedding dress, was because the cyclops was very blind. The cyclops thought Grover was a woman cyclops, pretty weird, huh? The cyclops told Grover that he wanted to marry her (or should I say him). You see Grover came to Polyphemus, because he thought it was Pan. Pan is a nature god, like Poseidon (The god of water). The Satyrs adore him, but Grover was mistaken. Grover was terrified and could have ran and screamed, but did not, because Polyphemus would have killed him. That makes him brave.
    One of the themes in the story was that, when you have a problem, count on your friends. I think Grover relates to Rowley Jefferson in Diary of a Wimpy Kid, because Rowley is sweet to everyone like Grover. Rowley can get scared easily, too. For example, in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules: The Movie, Rowley and Greg were watching a horror movie called "The Foot". It was a horror movie, and both got scared easily, but Rowley was really scared. Too scared. Just like Grover with Polyphemus.
    One thing, inside this book, if Grover dies, Percy dies, and Thalia's tree (the camp's magical border) is dying.They battle Lastroygiants, Bronze Bulls, and Sea Creatures. Percy gets help with his half-brother named Tyson (who is a cyclops, but Percy did not notice it, and did not think it). He, Tyson, and Annabeth have to save Grover and the camp, before it is too late.
    Inside this book, is a crazy adventure filled with horror, danger, adventures, and time running out. I think you should read this book and find out yourself if Grover and all of them survive this mission.

A couple of reasons i enjoyed this book are because it focuses on some issues dealing with elementry school and friendships. Friendships is a theme of the book because the narrator quite often mentions things having to do with friendships and/or other relationships. While reading this book i noticed various changes in some of Hanks relationships. In some parts he didn't really know where to go or what to do.

I think this book is great for both genders.Because it deals with issues regarding both boys and girls. It's also a book i would have wished for when i was in elementry school. It would have probaly been a good guide to issues regardind school, friends, and family.

A couple of times throughout the book you may wonder whats going on or think it's boring. Overall its very intriguing and interesting. Hanks friend Frankie becomes his peer role model and someone Hank overall looked up to and sometimes envy.

Frankie thinks that Hank is great and cool and a great friend even though Hank can  sometimes mess stuff up with his clumsy ways and beings. Hank on the other hand looks up to Frankie and wants to be so much like Frankie in acedemic situations. Hank sometimes becomes jelous of how well he thinks Frankie does with every thing.

Hank faces a huge problem when he takes apart the TV cable box and leaves it in his room. Who would think that his sisters iguana would lay eggs in the ruins of a cable box.
